What is PrEP?
PrEP is a medicine that can reduce the risk of getting HIV from sex by about 99% when taken as prescribed.
What is PEP?
PEP is medicine you can take after being potentially exposed to HIV to prevent yourself from becoming infected. PEP must be started within 72 hours after a recent possible exposure to HIV.
